David Molinari and Lauran Bittinger
From the Zydeco-influenced band, Creolization, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, David Molinari, and accordionist, Lauran Bittinger, team up as a duo to deliver Molinari's emotive and energetic pop songs in an entertaining, foot stomping, soulful performance. Instrumental and stylistic variety as well as improvisational musical arrangements characterize their act, making for a creative and high energy evening.

Lauran Bittinger (accordion, flute, keyboard, vocals), loves playing roots rock music more
than chocolate, beer or sitting around a roaring fire on a starlit Lake
Michigan beach. She thrives on taking a leap off a musical cliff into the
unknown. Lauran performs regularly with David Molinari,
Creolization, The Milroys and Dublin Station. A much sought-after side player, Lauran has also performed with Lake Effect, Ralston Bowles, Drew Nelson, Dave Boutette, Chris Buhalis, Annie
and Rod Capps. Lauran will be featured on recordings in 2008 by Drew
Nelson, Lake Effect, Dan Hall, Tim Pak, Detour, Andy Baker and
Oxter/Mahone.

CREOLIZATION is a high energy, improvisational, Zydeco-influenced band made up of a revolving roster of West Michigan musicians. Whether this ensemble is performing a concert of Molinari's original songs - all dressed up in accordion, washboard, and funky Louisiana backbeats - or providing driving Zydeco versions of roots music classics for private wedding parties, Creolization shakes things up and infuses all of their music with a life and urgency that gets bodies out of the chairs and into the aisles.

"Molinari's rich voice and skilled playing combine with his band's eclectic and proficient instrumentation for a pleasant listening experience. Drawing upon early country, folk, rock, roots and jazz influences, Molinari writes in the 'Americana' style, similar to many of the best singer-songwriters. The band's sound has a familiar and comforting feel but also reflects its experimental and creative leanings." - Mlive.com

"A soulful blend of pop-folk tunes." - Clinton County News

"It was an evening of musical contrasts when The David Molinari Band performed at 'The Studio', playing everything from traditional bottle-neck slide to Irish ditties. David was bouncing between so many instruments - guitar, Rhodes, piano, accordion - it was hard to keep track. To add to the eclectic mix, David brought with him a band of players that included a 5-string electric fiddle player, a mandolin player, and a trumpet player. It was an incredible night of music from one of Michigan's most talented musicians." -Lou Baney, 'The Studio', Schuler Books & Music
